Badge Legend
Green badges are rare (kind of), and they are awarded based on your park cred. You'll have to visit different park pages to get the elusive mapdango badge.
Grey badges are based on the number of parks that a user has visited. If you don't visit any parks, you'll only show the Newbie Badge (see below).
Brown badges are based on the various regions in which national parks are grouped. Users that visit at least one park in a specific region get brown badge for that region.
Yellow badges are based on visits to particular national parks of special interest (yes, we know, they're all special, but these parks are special in their own way).
Ahh, the Newbie Badge. If you don't visit any parks, you'll be stuck with the Newbie Badge.
| Newbie (29) | Users that have not added any parks to their favorites list or who have not indicated that they have visited any parks. |
| Early Adopter (45) | Users that register during the public preview of mapdango get the early adopter badge. |
| Scout (8) | Users that have visited at least 3 national parks. |
| Explorer (4) | Users that have visited at least 10 national parks. |
| Ranger (0) | Users that have visited at least 20 national parks. |
| Guru (0) | Users that have visited at least 45 national parks. |
| mapdango (0) | A surprise badge. Given to the most dedicated of users. |
| Alaska (1) | Users that have visited at least 2 parks in the Alaska Region. |
| Intermountain (9) | Users that have visited at least 2 parks in the Intermountain Region. |
| Midwest (3) | Users that have visited at least 2 parks in the Midwest Region. |
| Northeast (0) | Usres that have visited at least 2 parks in the Northeast Region. |
| Pacific West (5) | Users that have visited at least 2 parks in the Pacific West Region. |
| Southeast (2) | Users that have visited at least 2 parks in the Southeast Region. |
| Old Faithful (4) | Users that have visited Yellowstone National Park. |
| El Capitan (0) | Users that have visited Yosemite National Park. |
| Right Coaster (0) | Users that have visited Acadia National Park. |
| Sky High (0) | Users that have visited Denali National Park. |
| Canyonero (0) | Users that have visited Grand Canyon National Park. |
| Gator (0) | Users that have visited Everglades National Park. |
| Crooked River (0) | Users that have visited Cuyahoga National Park. |
| Deep Water (0) | Users that have visited Crater Lake National Park. |
| Oligocene (0) | Users that have visited Badlands National Park. |
| Tortugero (0) | Users that have visited Dry Tortugas National Park. |
